This Privacy Policy describes how Job Wizard ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application.

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (handled securely via Firebase Authentication). We do not store your password in plain text — this is managed entirely by Google Firebase's authentication service.

This data is stored securely in Google Firestore and is only accessible to your account.
The App allows you to record voice notes attached to jobs, and via the Easy Notes feature. These recordings are transcribed to text, and the original audio is deleted after transcription. Only the resulting text is retained and is accessible only to your account. We do not use voice recordings for any purpose beyond the feature you record them for.
You may attach photos to jobs (e.g. before/after photos, documentation). These are stored securely and are only accessible to your account.
The App's financial dashboard processes data you enter about job pricing, invoicing, and earnings to display summaries and reports. This financial data is stored in your account and is not shared with third parties, except as required to process subscription payments (see "Payments" below).
If you use the "Add Customer from Contacts" feature, the App requests access to your device's contacts (READ_CONTACTS permission) so you can select an existing contact to quickly add as a customer. We only access contact information you explicitly select — the App does not read, upload, or store your entire contacts list. Only the specific contact details you choose to import (name, phone, email) are saved as customer data within the App.
Subscriptions (R119/month with a 30-day free trial) are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details — this is handled entirely by Google Play.

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore for structured data, Firebase Storage for photos, Firebase Authentication for login credentials). Firebase applies industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit. Access to your data within the App is restricted to your authenticated account.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or accounting purposes.

Job Wizard is intended for use by tradespeople and business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
